The first step toward trying a new class may be getting the registration details straight. Fuquay-Varina’s Arts Center and Parks and Recreation have moved class registration to RecTrac, and the town says old ActiveNet accounts stopped being usable on September 1, 2026.
Use the registration link on the official Arts Center page to create or access a household account. The town’s tutorial notes that the chosen username is not necessarily an email address, a useful detail if a saved login seems to fail. Account verification and household information are part of the setup process.

When browsing, read the full class description for dates, age limits, price and location. The system serves more than one town facility, so a class found through the Arts Center search may meet elsewhere. The guide distinguishes available, unavailable and waitlisted activities; a waitlist is not a confirmed place.
Choose a class around the time you can realistically attend and the kind of activity you want to try. If account setup or a course description is unclear, ask the Arts Center for help before paying. Sorting out the logistics early leaves more attention for the enjoyable part: learning something new.
